Tony Blair Found Job At Louis Vuitton

Jan 19, 2010

The Ex Prime-minister of Great Britain Tony Blair can become a highly paid advisor at the LVMH that is known as the owner of such luxury brands as Louis Vuitton, Dior Hennessy and Moet-Chandon, according to The Daily Mail.

According to the newspaper, presently Blair is in the final stages of negotiating a pay-package at the group. LVMH is owned by Bernard Arnault who is known as France’s richest man and an old friend of the former politician.

It is worth noticing that after abandonment of the post of prime minister in 2007 Blair has been in an active search of a well-paid job. For instance, it is known that for his consultative job at JPMorgan Chase Blair will be paid 2,5 billion lb a year. Mr. Blair’s advance for his future memoirs, that was paid by Random House, is more than 4 billion lb.

According to a source close to Blair “There is an agreement in principle but nothing has been signed yet. He won't be joining the board but he will be acting in an advisory role, working very closely with Mr Arnault. In particular, his job is likely to involve attracting new clients."

According to Daily Telegraph negotiations between Louis Vuitton managements and Tony Blair have already lead to the agreement. The ex-Prime minister of Great Britain will become the Counselor of Bernard Arnault.
